Arena (https://arena.ai/) is the commercial version of Chatbot Arena, relaunched in January 2026 under a new name and URL, with expanded functionality. The site can also be accessed on HuggingFace (https://huggingface.co/lmarena-ai).

Four modes are available

• Battle Mode: an instruction is submitted simultaneously to two anonymous models, the user votes for the best and then the identities are revealed.
• Side-by-Side: Two models are selected by the user for comparison.
• Direct: free chat with a model chosen from the available ones (text, code, image or search) or via “Max” which selects the most suitable template for the instruction.
• Agent Mode (launched on June 4, 2026): the tool builds a standalone plan and links the steps (text, web search, image generation, code, etc.) from a single instruction. The model used cannot be chosen and is not revealed.

Votes feed into several ranking boards that are continuously updated: text (337 models), image (66 models), code, vision, search, documents and agents.

Note: Conversations are forwarded to model providers and may be made public for research purposes. Be careful with the information transmitted.
