Meta AI, or the discreet invasion of generative AI in our social networks
This week, let’s zoom in on the generative AI applications deployed by Meta: after Meta.ai in messaging services , here is this week Meta.ai online and Meta.ai studio (and to resume a series of albums, soon to be “Meta.ai at the beach”? :).
For a long time only visible via LLama, its semi-open language model used in many tools, Meta.ai is well established in Meta’s social applications. Now, almost all social networks have integrated the generative AI in a year and a half (Snapchat’s My AI has already been present since spring 2023).
As every week in this section, this focus still raises many questions and reflections: the question of personal data (will we accept by November 3 that Linkedin uses our published data?), that of the human/machine link with these personalized chatbots that can be shared directly in our private messages, but also, and this is perhaps where Meta has passed a milestone compared to similar chatbots from Character.ai offered since the beginning of 2023, on the integration and almost “trivialization” of generative AI in our daily lives.
