This second version of the application is designed as a reflective “to-do list”, in the form of an interactive decision tree.
It’s designed to help anyone work through the different choices to make when deciding whether or not to use a generative AI tool.

The assessment is based on 4 dimensions inspired by the Tricot et al. (2003) model: compliance, utility, usability, and acceptability.

You’ll first be asked whether you’re based in Europe (EU/EEA) — some criteria (GDPR, the EU AI Act) only apply there, and are skipped otherwise. If you’re in Europe, you’ll then be asked whether you’re in France or another European country, since a few criteria refer to French institutions and official guidance specifically.

Three paths are offered depending on your context of use: personal, professional, or with students. At the end of the path, a detailed summary is generated with a score per dimension and a list of points of caution.

You can export your assessment as JSON and compare two tools by importing two JSON files in “Compare two tools”.
