DocsToAudio
DocsToAudio (https://docstoaudio.online/fr) converts PDF, EPUB, DOCX, and TXT documents into audio files.
Export in MP3 format (one file per chapter, in a ZIP) or M4B (single file with chapter markers).
The document is parsed in the browser, without sending it to a server: only the selected text is transmitted for speech synthesis.
Ability to choose which chapters to convert and refine the extracted text before conversion.
More than 300 AI voices in free version, 50 languages including French (5 French voices, 13 French-speaking).
Playback speed adjustment available.
Based on ElvenLabs.
Note: the conversion is done live in the browser tab, it is stopped if the page is closed or refreshed. No history in the free version.
Free, no accounts, and seems unlimited.
Voice cloning is proposed: not tested and not recommended on an AI per day. Cloning the voice of a third party requires its explicit and prior authorization, ElevenLabs imposes a minimum age of 18 years old and prohibits the voices of minors.
