ChatEurope (https://chateurope.eu) is a news platform to “help you better understand Europe, how it works, its decisions and their impact on your daily life”. ChatEurope offers verified and sourced information (the sources are those hosted on the platform).

It highlights a chatbot, available in the center of the homepage and on the articles consulted, and running on Mistral (the platform is operated by the Romanian company iDruid and uses Xwiki).

Project led by AFP, created and fed with 9 European media (Deutsche Welle, France Médias Monde, RFI Romania, dpa, ANSA, Agora, Maldita.es, El País and OBCT), partly funded by the European Commission with guaranteed editorial independence.

In this first version, available in 7 languages, some difficulties were identified: for example, it is not able to cite dated articles (e.g. articles from 2025) or does not make a link with the article displayed on the screen.
