Chatter (https://playground.microsoft.ai/chat?model=chatter) is a real-time voice chat experiment from Microsoft’s MAI Playground, in beta.

The MAI Playground, already presented in June 2026 with the DuoAI experiment (Luna and Leo), now offers Chatter, alongside updated models (MAI-Image-2.6, MAI-Voice-2, MAI-Transcribe-2 (see below), MAI-Thinking-1).

Chatter uses MAI-Voice, MAI-transcription, and, to be confirmed, certainly MAI-Thinking.

Once the conversation has started, the transcript is displayed on the screen while the assistant responds orally and in writing in one of the 6 available languages and with one of the two voices offered.

Free, with a Microsoft account, usage limits not displayed.
